The town has no aggressive mobs and is easy to nagivate.

Zones of interest within close walking distance of the city include Zerikas Palace, Narnia, and Castle Black. For a new player I would most definitely urge you to choose Adrilankha as your hometown. Players are friendly and willing to help new people and if you live in Adrilankha the least you can expect from them is advice, helpful spells and quite possibly equipment to get you on your way.
